Two best friends, combining their skills and realizing a dream. What’s better than that? In May of 2015, the first step was taken to start the long, tedious process to attain a distiller’s license and move toward full-scale operation. A little over a year later, Black Hills Contraband became the first licensed full distillery in South Dakota, and Contraband flavored liqueurs are popping up in more and more quality establishments. Head over to their location in Downtown Rapid City to try their local 52 proof distilled liquor that drinks like whiskey without the bite or burn. With over ten different flavors to try, their generation’s old formula is one you won't easily forget!
